Aimée Wilder is a New York-based artist and graphic designer. After graduating from The Art Institute of Chicago in 2001, Aimée moved back to her native New York and began her career working in house for several firms including Designspace, Dwell, and Martha Stewart Living. Aimée has designed a wide range of pieces including bedding, wall treatments, fashion accessories and footwear. Her designs have been featured on products for Crate and Barrel, Urban Outfitters, Dwell & DwellBaby, MTV Cribs, Skip Hop, Toggs of Australia and most recently Vans.
Aimée currently works on a contract basis for clients and manages the design and development of her wallpaper line.

July 24th, 2009I LOVE Matthew Williamson. His style, creativity, and color-sense is amazing, but honestly what is he thinking here? Would you actually buy a 300 dollar cosmetic case? I really love this one, but that is seriously too much to spend unless it comes complete with your favorite makeup.
Keep an eye out, because we will be launching some bangin’ and affordable travel cases later this year. They will feature some new unreleased designs, so stay tuned.

July 23rd, 2009I love the interiors of the Bowery Hotel. The sense of luxury and comfort is only enhanced by the warmth of the classic design.
I especially love the customization by Richard Christiansen on his Bowery Hotel apartment, as seen above and featured in New York Magazine earlier this year. The lived-in quality brings depth to the space.

July 22nd, 2009The Truffles Tribeca luxury apartments feature some beautiful interiors, in particular in the trufflesprivé lounge exclusive to residents and their guests. The aim is authenticity and grandeur, and they definitely pull it off with vintage furniture and decor. There is a great article in the Daily News from April.

We’ve been dying to see the sci-fi/thriller Moon, especially now that it’s experiencing a much broader release as of last Friday. It’s been getting rave reviews (89% at Rotten Tomatoes!), and I’m excited to see a new science fiction film that doesn’t rely on a huge budget or digital effects. We have other reasons for wanting to go as well. Clint Mansell, one of our favorite and first clients, composed the score!
Hopefully we’ll be able to update soon with our own opinions on the film after we get a chance to see it.
