About
Aimée Wilder is a New York-based artist and graphic designer. After graduating from The Art Institute of Chicago in 2001, Aimée moved back to her native New York and began her career working in house for several firms including Designspace, Dwell, and Martha Stewart Living. Aimée has designed a wide range of pieces including bedding, wall treatments, fashion accessories and footwear. Her designs have been featured on products for Crate and Barrel, Urban Outfitters, Dwell & DwellBaby, MTV Cribs, Skip Hop, Toggs of Australia and most recently Vans.
Aimée currently works on a contract basis for clients and manages the design and development of her wallpaper line.

Bold Spaces of Panton’s Past
August 17th, 2010I received a link today over email of another inspiring blog called but does it float.com and came across a few images of Verner Panton’s spaces. His work had always been captivating to me, and I was lucky enough to experience an installation of his work at the Whitney a few years ago. Spending some time inside Visiona 2 was by far the best thing at the exhibit, Summer of Love. It would be exciting to bring some of his designs back to life as wallpaper, if they aren’t currently available.

Gypsymade in brooklyn
August 16th, 2010I am so lucky to live in Williamsburg and be surrounded by so many creative people. A few weeks back I was drinking my morning coffee outside Oslo. I made friends with Anna Davis, owner of furniture restoration company, Gypsymade. She has a knack for decor and does an amazing job restoring furniture. I might have to give her a few strips of wallpaper for backdrops to her photo shoots!
