As I continue to search for the perfect wedding gift, I came across some very interesting dinnerware. East Hampton, NY based Sydney Studios produces beautiful ceramic pieces that can stand well alone or complete an entire table setting. Some of the brightly glazed plates, and bowls are pictured below. I would love to see this design style in the form of wallpaper or baby bedding.

Documenting Life with Watercolor

Caitlin McGauley is an NYC based illustrator who works in watercolor. Her subject matter is based on family memories, New York City life and photos people send for her to commission. Hand Made Toys

Renate Müller has been creating limited quantity toys that are used for therapeutic purposes for handicapped children since the 1960′s. These toys became very successful in hospitals as they were used for hand-eye coordination, balance training, and sensory and orthopedic exercises. These toys are highly functional, so beautiful and unfortunately very expensive! I would love to see Renate Mullers estate put out a more accessible series.

Lately I am loving the work of print designer David Saunders, a. k. a. David David. I have two of his scarves and would love to be able to pull off one of his wild technicolor jumpsuits. His patterns are vibrant and fun- eye candy for adults who still like to party.

Nest contacted me to inquire about the wallpaper, and I discovered some amazing stuff on their site. I especially like the Middleton’s Old World books in gold:
