client connection – moon

July 14th, 2009

moon01

We’ve been dying to see the sci-fi/thriller Moon, especially now that it’s experiencing a much broader release as of last Friday. It’s been getting rave reviews (89% at Rotten Tomatoes!), and I’m excited to see a new science fiction film that doesn’t rely on a huge budget or digital effects. We have other reasons for wanting to go as well. Clint Mansell, one of our favorite and first clients, composed the score!

Hopefully we’ll be able to update soon with our own opinions on the film after we get a chance to see it.

a moment of cuteness

July 7th, 2009

A dear friend of mine runs the adorable and underrated blog The Puppy Master. The concept is simple but sweet- each day’s post features a painfully cute photo of a dog matched with an appropriately themed song. Check out today’s post for some puppy loving to the tune of Roxy Music’s “Lover.”

June 16th, 2009

Aimée’s interview with ofifteen magazine is now up on their site! You can check out the whole thing here.

Ofifteen also interviewed Aimée’s friend Carrie Ruby this month. You can read her interview here.

There was another nice post here on Retro To Go. French blog [ FOCUS ] Mode also did a feature on the Vans here.

Thanks to everyone who’s been showing their support by spreading the word!

Check out the video for 33hz’s new release “Sentinel of Love”:

I love the flowing sequence of the story within the video. You can get their new EP I Feel Alive on iTunes here, and I definitely recommend it.

33hz are on the fluo kids label Fool House and just returned to New York after touring Europe.

My good friend Charles, aka Chuckboy, is going to be at Kidrobot for a meet the artist event tomorrow night. Chuckboy recently designed the limited edition reindeer dunny for Kidrobot, which has rapidly become a collector’s item on ebay.
