Usually associated with the 1960s Fluxus movement, John M Armleder has been on the scene for a while, however his work remains exciting and current.
I recently had the privilege of dining in the shadow of several of his gargantuan dripping canvases, and was struck by their bright, playful quality and use of untraditional media like toys and candy. His striking presence made it easy to approach him and ask questions about his process; our chat shed some light on the way he creates results by using traditional media in unexpected ways.
The show will be up through December 5, so go check it out! Use the burning bridges email on the flyer below to request a viewing since it is by appointment only.
