I'd like to see a sample before I place my wallpaper or fabric order, can I do that?

Absolutely! You can order samples directly from the page of the product you are interested in. Simply select 'sample' in the 'size' drop down menu and hit 'add to cart'. Then go to your cart to finish your order.

From time to time our stock availability for samples is inaccurate. If a sample is unavailable, an alternate pattern in the color requested will be sent along with a sample of the same pattern in an available color.

The sample I wish to order is listed as 'unavailable'. What should I do?

If the specific color sample you wish to order says it is unavailable, please contact us at info@aimeewilder.com below and we will send an alternate design in the color you requested alongside the design you requested in the closest matching color-way.  If that is not possible we will provide color information. 

Do you offer a discount to the trade?

Yes, we offer a discount to the trade for orders of wallpaper by the roll. Fabric is discounted to the trade based on volume. Please contact us via the form below to register for your trade discount.

Do you send free samples to the trade?

We are a bespoke operation and we receive a very high rate of sample requests. Unfortunately, we cannot afford the material and labor costs associated with providing free samples to everyone. When you set up your trade account however, we are happy to provide up to 5 free samples. 

 

Can I place a contract order for Aimée Wilder Wallpaper through another retailer?

To provide the best possible service, we can only honor large contract orders of 10 rolls or more directly.

Can I order custom colors for one of your wallpapers or fabrics?

Absolutely! Please provide us with Pantone or Benjamin Moore Paint colors. Custom colors incur a one-time set up fee that varies based on pattern and volume.

My installer told me I need to order 5 'double' rolls, how do I do that?

A double roll is the equivalent of 2 single wallpaper rolls. So if you need 5 double rolls for your project, please order 10 rolls and indicate in the comments you prefer your order to ship in double rolls.

What paste and primer do you recommend for your wallpaper?

We recommend a good quality, clear, premixed vinyl adhesive, such as Roman Adhesive PRO-880. Walls should be primed with a primer that is compatible with the adhesive prior to installation.  Carefully review our online Measuring & Installation instructions and Wallpaper Info prior to installation.  Please contact us for additional recommendations regarding specific hanging situations.

Can I hang wallpaper in wet or humid areas?

We recommend paper backed vinyl for areas that may be subject to water splashes, children, and higher traffic. Most designs are available on paper backed vinyl that is extremely durable and scrubbable. Paper backed vinyl is an additional 20 dollars per roll. Vinyl orders are subject to custom order fees and minimums. Please email info@aimeewilder.com for more information and help with your order. For very wet and humid areas where there is a chance of water getting behind the wallcovering, we recommend breathable commercial materials such as our EcoLuxe. Please email us to inquire.

I just opened my wallpaper and there is a strong smell...

There may be a slight odor to our papers and wallcovering when it they are first unwrapped. Our hand printed Standard and Durable wallpaper inks are cured inert solids and have all been tested and are safe per OSHA standard. These inks pass California Prop. 65 and do not contain any chemicals known to the state of California to cause cancer, birth, or any other reproductive defects.

Our Pigment Printed wallpaper and Contract/EcoLuxe wall covering are made with water based ink and are non toxic. All of these printing process can lead to an odor upon opening the package and first hanging the product. The odor will quickly dissipate during or after hanging. We recommend ventilating the room well after hanging both to speed drying and to allow the odor to dissipate more quickly.  Please refer to our Wallpaper specifications in the info section for more detailed information.

Will my rug be the exact size ordered

Rugs are woven on a loom and may be slightly bigger or smaller than the specified size. If you are limited in space please contact us for the exact measurement of our in stock rugs. Please also reach out to specify the maximum size for your custom rug order.  We will work with the manufacturer to make sure your rug is the same or slightly below the maximum size specified.

How are the rugs made?

Our rugs are made by hand. Please expect subtle variation in color and texture due to the natural variations in the silk and wool fibers. Our rugs will be marked with a tag on the back side meant to be face down. We advise against wearing street shoes on our handmade rugs to protect from stains, abrasions and other damage.

How will my rug arrive?

Please open all rug packages with care and do not use box cutter or other sharp cutting blades except to cut outer bag open a safe distance from package contents.

 

When will I receive my order?

Our orders are shipped with UPS and DHL. Anything in stock will ship within 5 business days except for rugs which will ship within 10 business days. Many of our products are made to order. Please refer to the Info section to find lead time information by product type and material.  Please reach out to orders@aimeewilder.com if you are unsure about the lead time for a specific product.

What if I need it quickly?

Rush orders are available for an additional fee. For rush orders or for lead times on printed to order wallpapers and fabrics please email orders@aimeewilder.com

I’m based overseas/not in the continental US, will you ship to me?

Yes!  We exclusively ship via DHL outside the continental US. Please email orders@aimeewilder.com for a shipping quote based on your order and location.

My shipping cost seems extraordinarily high – is it accurate?

There are occasional defects on our website’s shipping calculator, particularly with smaller orders such as those including multiple samples and with orders such as rugs. If you think there may be an error please contact us via the form below and we will review your order. If there is an error we will issue you a refund for the difference. 

What is the Aimée Wilder return policy for online purchases?

All sales are final. Our bespoke products are meant to be enjoyed in the home for years to come, but due to the hand made nature, they are final sale and non returnable unless there is a manufacturing defect. Due to the handmade nature of our products slight variations in color and design should be expected. We must be notified of all defects within 14 days of receiving your fabric, pillow, accessory or photography order so we can troubleshoot for you.  Please refer to our product information and terms & conditions before hanging wallpaper. Please be sure of your selection by ordering fabric and wallpaper samples. Fabric samples are available for all finished products such as pillows, poufs and accessories.  Please order a sample if you are unsure.

How do I know if my order has shipped?

Generally, you will receive an automated email when your order has shipped, but occasionally you will receive your order before the notifications due to a lag in receiving shipping information from our suppliers.
